Art was not part of Michael Gavrieli’s world until an unexpected encounter changed the direction of his life. It all began when an art collector introduced him to the world of art. Surrounded by hundreds of paintings, he became fascinated by their emotional power, vibrant colors, and the unique ways artists expressed themselves.
For the first time in his life, he imagined creating art that reflected his own vision and sense of color. His desire to create eventualy let him to the ancient encaustic technique, a medium and process he fell in love with immediately. Inspired by the ancient encaustic technique, a new vision amarge to create a 24-karat gold artwork unlike anything the world ever seen. Years of experimentation with different materials led him to discover a unique way of integrating 24-karat gold and fine silver directly into the ancient encaustic technique. According to his research, he could not find any other artist using this approach. When the artworks were exhibited at international art fairs, experienced gallery owners encouraged their colleagues to see the artworks, describing them as unlike anything they had seen in their careers.
